Rebels rock the Patriots on the road

Tuesday night, the Rebels traveled to Lincoln County to face the Patriots.  This was the first game of their two-game series and an important win for the Rebels. The Rebels took care of business, run-ruling the Patriots in the sixth with a score of 11-1.

While this win was not unexpected, it was still a big game for the Rebs. All district games are crucial for postseason play, so the Rebels brought their A-game. As a team, the Rebels had a tough night with hitting, but it did not hinder them because they got 11 bases on walk and scored the runners with timely hits when they got on.

Brayden West, pitcher, who threw all six innings, a total of 92 pitches, said, “When I’m on the mound I get locked in, I’m not thinking about how my arm feels too much. The most important thing is throwing strikes and getting outs for the team After the game I always do arm-care and ice.”

The Rebels will take on Lincoln County again on Wednesday at home, hoping to sweep this District Series.
