Boyle boys tie for the top at the Shannon Johnson Spring Shoot!

Last week Boyle County High School participated in the Shannon Spring Shoot. The team shot well and managed to earn themselves second overall.

They ended the event with a total score of 3266 and 142 tens. Individually for the boys, Hayden Martin and Wade Stallard tied for first out of 125 overall. They both ended with a score of 293 and 23 tens. They were able to shoot high and secure the top spot for the Boyle boys!

Individually for the girls, Sirenna Adams placed in the top five overall. She ended with a total score of 285 and 19 tens. Congratulations to the archery team on their hard work and their placement in the Shannon Spring Shoot.

The archery team will compete again on May 4 at the Boyle Lincoln Mercer tournament!

KHSAA Boys and Girls Archery Tournament

On Tuesday, the Boyle County archers went into the KHSAA Tournament shooting for the top.

Starting with the boys, Wade Stallard and Hayden Martin placed in the top 10 among the high school boys and Milo Wetmore also placed in the top 10 among the middle school boys. Wade Stallard ranked fifth out of 229 overall and ranked first among the 12th graders. Wade obtained this ranking by shooting a score of 292 with 22 tens.

Hayden Martin ranked eighth out of 229 overall and ranked third among the 12th graders. Hayden obtained this rank by shooting a total score of 291 and 22 tens.

Within the boys middle school team, Milo Wetmore ranked seventh out of 39 overall, and fifth among 8th-grade boys. Milo obtained this rank by shooting a total score of 284 with 18 tens. Overall, the Boys well-represented the school and got fourth out of 22 schools, with an ending score of 1986 and 120 tens.

Within the girls team, Sirenna Adams shot toward the top for the high school girls, while Izzy Devine and Jolie Cochran ranked within the top 10 for the middle school girls.

Sirenna Adams ranked 27th out of 270 overall but she was able to rank seventh out of 46 among the 12th graders. Sirenna Adams obtained this rank with a total score of 285 overall and 17 tens. Among the middle schoolers, Izzy Devine ranked eighth out of 25 and Jolie Cochran ranked ninth out of 25. Izzy Devine ranked eighth with an end score of 273 overall and 10 tens. Jolie Cochran ranked ninth with an end score of 270 overall with 11 tens. We would like to congratulate both the boys and girls archery teams as they were able to shoot their best at the KHSAA Boys and Girls Tournament.

Boys archery wins Region!!

At the Region 9 Tournaments, both boys and girls shot for the top spots in their divisions. The boys were able to rank first in their division out of 13, while the girls were able to rank second out of six divisions.

The boys won big with an overall score of 1980 and 120 tens, securing their spot on top. Starting with the boys high school team, Hayden Martin and Wade Stallard ranked within the top five. Hayden Martin ranked second out of 86, with a total score of 293 and 25 tens. Wade Stallard ranked fifth out of 86, with a score of 288 and 20 tens.

Within the boys middle school team, Milo Wetmore and Jackson Mertz ranked within the top 5 in their division. Milo Wetmore was able to rank third out of 28, with a score of 284 and 18 tens. Jackson Mertz was able to rank fourth out of 28, with a score of 283 and 17 tens. With the efforts of the boys team as a whole, they were once again able to secure the top position within their division.

Moving on to the high school girls, they unfortunately, weren’t able to secure the spot on top. Although they didn’t rank high individually, they ranked second out of six divisions, scoring 1909 and 86 tens overall.

Within the girls middle school team, Jolie Cochran and Izzy Devine ranked within the top five. Jolie Cochran ranked second out of 25, scoring 275, and 13 tens. Izzy Devine ranked fourth out of 25, scoring 274 and 14 tens. We congratulate both the girls and boys on how they performed this weekend!

Mustang Madness Shootout

Boyle County ends up on top at the Mustang Madness Shootout in Somerset, Kentucky. They ranked first in their division with a score of 3290 and 148 tens total.

Within the boys division three, Boyle County students were in the top five in the state. Wade Stallard ranked first with a score of 289 and 19 tens, Hayden Martin ranked second with a score of 287 and 19 tens, and Bryson Long ranked third with a score of 280 and 14 tens.

Within the girls division, two Boyle County students placed in the top five. Sirenna Adams ranked second with a score of 279 and 12 tens, and Alia Lamar ranked third with a score of 278 and 13 tens.

Congratulations to those who were able to place and we would like to wish them luck at their next shootout this weekend.

Boyle shoots for the top again at two tournaments in one weekend

Boyle County High School was able to shoot for the top once again, ranking two out of five at the Kingsotn state qualifier and one out of four in the Mercer NASP/IOB 3D challenge in their division.

They first shot off at the Kingston State Qualifier located in Berea, they ended by scoring 3279 with 141 tens and again ranking two out of five in their district.

Overall, the boys ranked high, as Wade Stallard ranked first out of 198 and Hayden Martin ranked second out of 198. Overall among the girls, Sirenna Adams ranked second out of 205.

They were able to go in and obtain some of the leading spots within the ranking. Right after the Kingston state qualifier, Boyle strived to shoot for the top once again at the Mercer NASP/IOB 3D challenge, placing one out of four in their division. In the overall boys ranking we had four athletes place within the top 10 out of 106 participants.

Hayden Martin came in first out of 106 with a score of 291, Wade Stallard placed fifth out of 106 with a score of 284, Bryson Long came in eighth out of 106 with a score of 277, and Logan Flaugh came in 10 out of 106 with a score of 276. Within the overall girls’ ranking, Sirenna Adams was the only female student to place within the top ten and was even able to place within the top three. Sirenna Adams placed second out of 93 contestants with a score of 277.

Next the Boyle County High School Archery team will be shooting off at the Region 9 boys and girls tournament on March 13th in Nicholasville, KY.
