Boyle shoots for the top again at two tournaments in one weekend

Boyle County High School was able to shoot for the top once again, ranking two out of five at the Kingsotn state qualifier and one out of four in the Mercer NASP/IOB 3D challenge in their division.

They first shot off at the Kingston State Qualifier located in Berea, they ended by scoring 3279 with 141 tens and again ranking two out of five in their district.

Overall, the boys ranked high, as Wade Stallard ranked first out of 198 and Hayden Martin ranked second out of 198. Overall among the girls, Sirenna Adams ranked second out of 205.

They were able to go in and obtain some of the leading spots within the ranking. Right after the Kingston state qualifier, Boyle strived to shoot for the top once again at the Mercer NASP/IOB 3D challenge, placing one out of four in their division. In the overall boys ranking we had four athletes place within the top 10 out of 106 participants.

Hayden Martin came in first out of 106 with a score of 291, Wade Stallard placed fifth out of 106 with a score of 284, Bryson Long came in eighth out of 106 with a score of 277, and Logan Flaugh came in 10 out of 106 with a score of 276. Within the overall girls’ ranking, Sirenna Adams was the only female student to place within the top ten and was even able to place within the top three. Sirenna Adams placed second out of 93 contestants with a score of 277.

Next the Boyle County High School Archery team will be shooting off at the Region 9 boys and girls tournament on March 13th in Nicholasville, KY.

BCHS shoots for first again at Mercer

Boyle County shoots for the top again, coming out in first at the Mercer County Tournament this past weekend.

They landed top overall with five students within the top five in their specified groups. The boys high school ranking consisted of Wade Stallard in first, Hayden Martin in second, and Bryson Long in fifth. Stallard had an incredible score of 289 with 23 tens, Martin secured second by scoring 288 and 21 tens, and Long then secured a spot within the top five with a score of 285 and 16 tens.

Overall, within the high school boys group, these three were able to shoot within the top five. Among the specific category of grade level, though, Stallard, Martin, and Long were in the top three for boys in grade 12.

The girls high school ranking consisted of Sirenna Adams in second and Alia Lamar in fifth. Sirenna Adams went in hot with a score of 280 with 14 tens and Alia Lamar came right behind her with a score of 270 and 10 tens.

Within the girl’s high school division, Sirenna and Alia were able to score within the top five, but in their own specified grade groups, they both were able to place second.

Boyle County has been shooting for first and achieving it and we can congratulate them while they continue to shoot for first this upcoming weekend at the Boyle County Pre-State Warmup. Join them to celebrate senior night on Friday, as well!

Boyle County shoots for first at the New Years Tournament

Last weekend, Boyle County shot for the top again at the New Years Tournament located at Boyle County. Rank one out of six divisions, scoring a total of 3284 with 144 tens.

The boys had two archers place within the top ten. Hayden Martin placed first out of 247, and Bryson Long placed nine out of 247.

The girls had three archers placed within the top ten. Rylee Mullins placed second out of 170, Sirenna Adams placed fourth out of 170, and Alia Lamar placed 10th out of 170.

“We did well in both tournaments,” said Mullins. “Even though we placed first in both the bullseye and 3-D, we still have room for improvement. Overall, the tournament was a lot of fun and very successful.”

They will be showing out and shooting for the top next at the Groundhog Round Up this weekend at Garrard County.
