Girls tennis sweeps the Golden Lions

On Thursday, the girls tennis team took a trip to Garrard County to take on the Golden Lions.

The first match of the night was number one singles. Per usual, Emma Young was in that spot and did a fantastic job. She won all eight sets against her opponent, winning the first match of the night for Boyle.

The number one doubles team consisted of Maya Smith and Hannah Bischoff. They took care of business, only dropping one set out of the nine played. They won the match 8-1.

At this point, the overall score was 2-0 in Boyle’s favor. The next match was the number two singles. That match was over rather quickly, as Kristine Tran beat her opponent 8-1.

Next, the number two doubles team stepped up. Emily Messer and Matti Carlsen played really well, winning 8-0.

The final match of the night was the number three singles, and was played by Emma Taylor. She finished the night well for Boyle County, beating her opponent 8-1.

Overall, the Rebels won the night 5-0. This was a big district victory for Boyle, as they turn their sights to Lincoln County on Monday.
