Boyle completes the sweep on Lincoln!

After beating Lincoln 11-1 the night before, Boyle was at home vs. Lincoln. Boyle was 14-6 going into the game and Lincoln was 7-12.

Logan Parnass started and finished the game on the mound, pitching all seven innings, allowing seven hits, and only one run off of a home run to deep right field. He also recorded five strikeouts, with an overall very impressive performance.

Boyle started off the game very hot, getting three singles in a row and bringing in two runs! Boyle then brought in a third run, and after Lincoln’s home run in the top of the fourth, Boyle brought home two runs to extend the lead to 5-1. After that Lincoln hit a roadblock with hitting, but Boyle kept hitting the ball very well with one run in the sixth and two in the seventh. Boyle had very aggressive base running all night, stealing a impressive total of 15 bases on the night!

Josh Cool, a player who was subbed in as Designated Hitter, said “The game went well, we made good plays in the field, our pitcher threw strikes and got outs. We left runners in scoring position that we definitely should have gotten across to score, and we had too many strikeouts, so that’s something for us to work out before the next game.”

Overall, a great performance from the Rebels!! They will play again Friday against Tates Creek at home!!
