On Monday night, the girls tennis team took on Somerset Christian. They were successful in their efforts, winning 8-1. Emma Young played in the #1 singles, Kristine Tran in the #2 singles, Maya Smith in the #3 singles, Hannah Bischoff in the #4 singles, Mattie Carlson in the #5 singles, and Emma Taylor in the #6 singles. In the #1 doubles spot were Maya Smith and Hannah Bischoff. In the #2 doubles position were Mattie Carlson and Emily Messer, and in the #3 doubles spot were Emmay Young and Emery Herron.
Maya Smith showed her great skill on the court by “doing what needed to be done to get the win.” Smith said she was “proud of her team and how they performed at a high level.”
The girls will play again on Thursday when they take on Garrad County.
