Rebels Sink the Ads on the Road

Last night, the Rebels went across the town to face the Admirals. Tuesday night the Rebels beat Danville 14-4, at home. The Rebels wanted to sweep the two-game series. That’s just what they did! Last night they won 20-3!

While these wins were not unexpected they were still big games for the Rebs. All District games are crucial for postseason play, so the Rebels brought their A-game. As a team we had 17 hits, 14 RBIs, and only 3 strikeouts in 5 innings!

Coleman Stewart, who hit his first home-run since freshman year, said, “It’s about time. I don’t try to hit home-runs. My goal is line drives and base hits. But when your on a field as short as Danville’s, good things can happen.”, when asked about his home-run hit.

The Rebels will take on Taylor County on Friday in the first round of the 2A State Sectionals. This will take place in Owensboro and be a big challenge for the Rebels.
