Admirals can’t catch up to the Rebels

This past Tuesday, the Boyle County Rebels softball team invited the Danville Admirals to play on their home turf.

The Rebels kicked off the game by scoring seven runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Keeping great defense in the second inning, the Admirals couldn’t get a run in. However, when it is the Rebels’ turn to bat, they bring their all. The Rebels score seven more runs in the bottom of the second, putting the score at 14-0.

By the third inning, the Admirals get fired up and manage to fit in their first run of the game. But, the Rebels return and score two more runs to finish the game.

Junior Kasey Meadows said,  “We all chipped in, worked together, and came together. Even though the season started off rough, we are working as one, working our way through adversity.”

The Rebels will play again Thursday at home, against Southwestern.
