Rebels sink the Commodores

On Friday, the Rebels made it through the second round of the playoffs by beating the Perry County Central Commodores. PCC’s record was 7-4 previous to the game.

Their season was ended, however, by our undefeated powerhouse. The score was 49-0, with a running clock at halftime.

In only four passing attempts, quarterback Sage Dawson threw two touchdown passes. One thrown to Geordon Brown and one to Montavin Quisenberry. On defense, we were able to shutout the Commodores. Bryce Bullock had four total tackles and Jax Crowe had three solo tackles and a fumble recovery.

Josh Bixler says that what sets the team apart is that, “It’s not just what everybody sees on the field. Behind the scenes Boyle puts a lot of work in, whether it’s in the weight room, the film room, or just bonding in the locker room.”

This was a good win for the Rebels and a great way to keep us rolling during the playoffs. We hope to see you next week vs Corbin. Corbin was the previous 4A State runner-up and is projected to be the best contender Boyle has played all year. It will be at 7:30 at home and is expected to draw an audience of around 5,000 people.
