Monday night, the JV Challenge 1 occurred at home. During this event, written composition took place, and Luisa Sanchez-Almenarez secured first place.
The JV Challenge 2 at Madison Central consisted of Content Assessment and Quick Recall. This Saturday, the Quick Recall team defeated Madison Southern in the championship 29-3.
Some individuals scored well on their Content Assessments. Desmond Rapp earned 1st place, and Logan Ball earned 3rd place in math.
In science, Jada Maples was the runner-up, and Rudra Patel came in 6th place. In social studies, Ellis Croshaw came in 3rd, and Desmond Rapp in 5th. In language arts, Jacob Kirchner was the overall champion, and Kathryn Lewis came in 5th place.
In arts & humanities, Jacob Kirchner came in 1st, Kathryn Lewis in 2nd, and Jada Maples in 3rd.
The Rebels were the overall champions of the JV Challenge, earning 73.5 points, defeating Madison Southern, Jackson County, Madison Central, Garrard County, and Berea. The academic team will compete again today in the Lake Cumberland Tournament.
