When asked about the performance of her team, senior Anna Waters said “I am very proud of my team for pushing through bad circumstances.” And push through they did!

Girls Defeated By The Blue Devils

On Wednesday night at Henry Clay, Girls Soccer stumbled to a 1-0 loss.

After an intense 20 minutes in the first half, the Rebels were struggling with maintaining possession and keeping their defense organized.  This slip-up caused them to concede the goal.

However, “The team woke up and we realized we were playing a better team than what we expected.” These were the words from number 12, Senior Anna Waters, after being asked how the goal affected the team.

About their chances of winning the game, Waters, a defender, concluded, “After the goal was scored we maintained possession for most of the game and had clear chances on goal, we just couldn’t finish.”

A tough away match for the girls, but they were able to learn from it in order to improve and do better in their future games of this exciting season.
