On Tuesday afternoon, girls soccer played Pulaski County at the Rebel Stadium.
After last week’s home victory against the admirals, the rebels secured a second consecutive 10-0 victory over the pirates!
When asked for an update on the team’s spirit, number 2, senior and defender Payton Bugg said, “We are very ecstatic. We’re looking forward to continuing the positivity on the team, as well as our winning streak.” A bright outlook, heading into the rest of the season!
“We started slow at first,” stated Payton, but in the first 5 minutes into the game, number 7, sophomore and midfielder Reagan Britt scored the opening goal, one of 3 in total for her, and one of many for the Rebels. Followed by goals from Abigail Brown, Addison Hazlett, Maggie Burke, Ellery Taylor, Mia Kilby, Maggie Gnann, and Sophia Hatfield.
When asked for her final thoughts and information for their next game, Payton concluded by saying, “We play against Garrard County next and they are on their revenge tour so we are excited to shut them out.”
They will face Garrard County on Thursday night at home at 8 pm.
