On Monday, the DCA Warriors traveled across town to take on the Rebels on Boyle home turf.
The start of the game was slow with no runs in the first inning. But things took off quickly in the second inning when, after the Warriors scored one run in the top of the second, Boyle bit back hard.
The Rebels brought in 11 amazing runs in the bottom of the second. Then, in the top of the third inning, DCA attempted to catch up by scoring two more runs.
However, Boyle stood their ground and brought in seven more runs in the bottom of the third, winning the game 18-3.
Junior Katherine Lemonds says, “We came out and we did what we needed to do to get the win.” The Rebels will play again on Wednesday against Marion County.
