Rebels fall to the Briar Jumpers

This past Tuesday, February 20th, the Boyle County Boys Basketball team took on a highly ranked Region team, Somerset.

Somerset has been noticed as one of the top teams in the Region this past season with a record of 13-7.

The Rebels just came off a tough loss to another Region opponent, Pulaski. They hope to take this game on and come out with a win for the second to last game of the regular season.

The Rebels ended up taking a loss 53-39 and shots weren’t falling from the field at 30% and behind the arc at 24%. Montavin Quisenberry had 14 points and Guy Turner had eight points to lead the Rebels.

Boyle took a tough loss to Somerset, but still has a chance to turn it around during the last regular season game next week against Taylor County.
