Rolling over the competition in L City

The Rollin’ Rebels participated in the Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) Invitational on Sunday at the Dixie Bowl in Louisville. The games were set up as one single game (five bowlers for each team) per qualifying score to bracket the teams. Boyle girls placed first and got a bye in the first round.

The bracket rounds were elimination matches. Each team had to lose twice before being eliminated.  The first loss for the girls meant moving to another bracket. From that bracket, the team could work their way back up and battle the non-winner of the championship match to place 2nd overall.

Junior bowler Chloe Rush commented, “We did pretty well. Overall, we only opened a total of 10 times throughout bakers.” Bracket games were Bakers games, best 2 out of 3.

The  girls brought home second place after a long day! It was a close fight as the final games were tied, and they had to bowl a 4th game before securing runner-up.

The boys had a good day participating, but only made a little progress in the bracket. They were great, spirited supporters for the girls!

Bowling will compete again this weekend in the Patriot Tournament at 10 AM at the Bowlarama.
