Volleyball team advances in the Region Tournament

On Tuesday, the Rebels traveled to Somerset Christian School to take on Trinity Christian in the first round of the 12th Region Tournament. The Rebels, fresh off of a 45th District Championship, needed to bring some energy into this match.

This was an absolute battle. Both team fought hard with an electric crowd behind them. Trinity Christian came out hot, winning the first set 25-22. The next 3 sets went past 25, with the scores being 26-24 Boyle, 27-25 Trinity Christian, and 27-25 Boyle, with the game headed to a deciding 5th set!

Boyle started out HOT in the 5th set, taking a quick 8-4 lead. This set only goes to 15, so each and every point really matters. The teams went back and forth for the rest of the set, with Boyle taking the set 15-12!

Kendra Christopher had the final kill, one of her 25 kills! Camryn Thompson and Charli Grubbs had 11 and 10, respectively. Gracee Teague led the team with 27 assists, and Camryn Thompson led the team with 23 digs!

Setter Emma Young said that the difference in this game was their confidence. It grew as the game went on, and it helped them win this match.
