Marching Rebs Take Fourth at Taylor County!

Last Saturday, the Marching Rebels traveled to Taylor County to compete. They placed second in their class out of fifteen bands. They secured first in percussion! Overall, the Marching Rebels got fourth in this competition.

The previous week the Rebels held their Annual Rebel Showdown. Campbellsville University attended to give out scholarships to all the bands competing, including Boyle.

“It felt nice to be recognized for all the hard work I’ve been putting into the band program,” said Addison Griebe, a recipient of one of Campbellsville’s scholarships. “I’ve worked hard to improve myself to be there for the band in any way and to get nominated–it felt rewarding.”

In her senior year, Addison has been conducting the band. She says it’s stressful, but that it is rewarding to, “watch the band become better day by day and helping them with achievements, that is something I’d never trade in.”

The Marching Rebels are headed to Estill County to perform at Estill County High School on Saturday, August 30th
