Boyle Takes On Casting with the Cards

This past weekend, the bass fishing team competed in the GRC Trail Tournament #1. The tournament took place on a tough lake, Lake Herrington.

About 80 teams participated in the tournament, but only 35 of them were able to weigh a fish. The winners of the tournament weighed 13.11 pounds, but then the weight dropped to under five pounds by 7th place.

The Boyle teams that made the best show this weekend were Ashton Feck and Adailyn Courtney who placed 4th with 6.92 pounds, and Brayson Claunch and Cameron Owens took 7th with 4.91 pounds. Other placements for Boyle were Coleman and Keenan Stewart in 15th, Colin Wise and Emmitt Grubbs in 17th, and Connor Young and Brent Christopher in 22nd.

All teams from Boyle said it was a rough day on the water and struggled to catch many fish. Coleman Stewart says, “It was a rough day on the water, but we plan to bounce back next weekend.”

The fishing teams next tournament is this coming weekend at Halcomb’s Landing at Lake Cumberland.
