On Monday, the Boyle County Rebels softball team invited the Casey County Rebels over for a home game.
Casey, unfortunately, scored the first run in the top of the first inning to give them an early lead of 1-0.
However, in a quick rebuttal, junior Paisleigh Conn stole her way around the bases and scored Boyle a run at the bottom of the second. After that, Casey pushed forward and scored three runs in the top of the fifth and two more in the top of the sixth.
This lead was making it hard for Boyle to keep up, allowing Casey to win the game 6-1.
The only scorer for the game, Conn says, “it was a tough loss, but we will keep trying and do better next game.”
Boyle will play again on March 27, away against Woodford County.
