A second W for the girls basketball team!

The Girls basketball team faced off against the Russell County Warriors last night for their second game of the season.

The girls started off in the first quarter with good momentum. There wasn’t much scoring but their defense was strong. The Rebels played well as a team and finished the first quarter in the lead. Russell County was very aggressive on both sides of the ball but we held our composure well. At the half, the Rebels led 22-15.

The Rebels just kept the flow going in the third and fourth quarter as they created more and more of a lead! The Rebels ended up taking their second win of the season, winning 57-38!

“We came into this game knowing that they were a scrappy team,” says senior Andie Glasscock. “We had to focus on out-hustling them, beating them to the floor, and getting all 50/50 balls. The game was an intense battle but we came out and did our job and focused on our goals which ended us on top.”

The Rebels play again on Tuesday at home against Harrison County. Be there to support these ladies!
