Boys Soccer Wins 2A State Elite 8!

On Saturday, the boys soccer team faced Perry County Central in the 2A State Elite 8.

The Rebels started off hot, scoring 3 goals in the first half alone. The first goal came from a Perry County Central own goal, and the second came from Jackson Pass. The third goal was a result of an Alan Wireman penalty kick.

The second half wasn’t as high scoring, but Breydon Hatter was able to head home a corner taken by Bo Little. The fifth and final goal of the night was tapped in by Alan Wireman to make the final score 5-0.

Senior JD Cooley commented on the Rebels advancing to the 2A Final Four, saying “We’re back where we deserve to be. I truly think we have an opportunity to bring the whole thing home.”

The Rebels play in the 2A Final Four this Saturday, versus DeSales. If they win they will advance to the championship game against the winners of the Warren Central and Rowan County game.
